eBooks are the same as a Book. The only difference is that an eBook is available on most devices at the touch of a button. They contain the same index, chapters, title page, and so forth.
You can search an eBook with a Keyword search.
The ILCC Libraries have two types of books:
Books can be borrowed from either campus, or from libraries from around the world. All books are free to borrow.
Patrons can borrow books from other libraries for free. Please go to the Inter-Library Loan tab on the left for more information (or below on a mobile device).
Patrons that wish to borrow a book from a different campus may also do this for free. For patrons at either Emmetsburg or Estherville, the books will be delivered to your campus Library. You will receive a phone call when it is ready. For patrons at Spencer, Spirit Lake, or Algona, the book will be delivered to your Success Center. You will be notified when it is ready.
All patrons may also borrow Journal Articles from other libraries. Please see the Articles tab on the left (or top if on a mobile device).
You can search in the catalog for all materials in the ILCC Estherville, ILCC Emmetsburg, and Emmetsburg Public Library. Or you can choose by location.
Type your search term (book title, author, subject) into the Search box (where it says "Type here to search").
To change location, search by author, title, or other terms then you should click on "Advanced Search".
Please keep in mind that the algorithm for our system does NOT work like Google. You must spell your terms correctly. If you substitute "the" for "an" the system will NOT be likely to retrieve the item you want.
