Iowa Lakes Community College Library
The ILCC Libraries are academic libraries that serve the 5 ILCC campuses. We have two branches, one on the Estherville campus and one on the Emmetsburg campus. The Estherville Library is located between Housing and the (now under-construction) Theatre Arts building, and the Emmetsburg Library is located adjacent to the Wellness Center. All students are able to use either campus library for FREE.
A large portion of our materials are online and available 24/7 from most devices. Off-campus access requires passwords to the Databases and are available upon request.
The Emmetsburg campus library is a joint facility with the Emmetsburg Public Library.
Library Access
Please click the ILCC Library Guides tab on the top of this page (inside of Canvas or on a mobile device) or on the left-hand column to access library resources specific to your classes and programs. All materials are also available on the library's website. It is generally easiest to access the Subject Guide for your program or class. These provide access to all books, eBooks, journal articles from databases, and an abundance on other online resources and are specific to the class or subject. All resources are found by a simple click, except for books. These may be searched online, but picked up at the Library or sent to your campus if you have no library. Please contact the library for more details.
All other materials are accessible with a few clicks and provide the citation for the resources. Citations are necessary for inclusion in your paper or project. This process takes seconds from when you click on the page and are the expected materials for your class. Failure to use academic materials will lower your grade and may result in failure.

Library Hours
During campus closure, the libraries are closed. Normally, Library hours are posted on the library homepage and may vary depending upon whether or not classes are in session. As the Emmetsburg Library is a joint library with the Emmetsburg Public Library, it is generally open regardless of classes and is sometimes only staffed by the Public Library. For the Estherville campuses, it is generally closed the evening before a day with no classes.

Estherville Summer Hours:
Mon-Thu: 7:30 am - 5 pm
Friday: 7:30 am - noon
Emmetsburg Summer Hours:
Mon-Thu: 7:30 am - 8 pm
Friday: 7:30 am - 5:30 pm
Saturday: 9:30-2:30 pm
The Estherville Library is closed over winter break when the campus is closed.
Printing and Copying and Scanning
All printing and scanning is free to students. If you need copies of something, we suggest that you use the copy machine to scan the material to your email and then print your copies for free.
