The Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences (ACJS) is an international association established in 1963 to foster professional and scholarly activities in the field of criminal justice. ACJS promotes criminal justice education, research, and policy analysis within the discipline of criminal justice for both educators and practitioners. Providing a forum for disseminating ideas related to issues in research, policy, education, and practice within the field, ACJS attributes its success in creating this dynamic professional association to the composition of its membership.

Alpha Phi Sigma recognizes academic excellence of Undergraduate and Graduate students of Criminal Justice, as well as Juris Doctorate students. The goals of Alpha Phi Sigma are to honor and promote academic excellence, community service, educational leadership, and unity. Alpha Phi Sigma is the only Criminal Justice Honor Society which is a certified member of the Association of College Honor Societies and affiliated with the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences.

The American Academy of Forensic Sciences is a multi-disciplinary professional organization that provides leadership to advance science and its application to the legal system. The objectives of the Academy are to promote professionalism, integrity, competency, education, foster research, improve practice, and encourage collaboration in the forensic sciences.

For more than 147 years, the American Correctional Association has championed the cause of corrections and correctional effectiveness. Founded in 1870 as the National Prison Association, ACA is the oldest association developed specifically for practitioners in the correctional profession. During the first organizational meeting in Cincinnati, Ohio, the assembly elected then-Ohio Governor and future President Rutherford B. Hayes as the first President of the Association.

The American Probation and Parole Association (APPA) is an international association composed of members from the United States, Canada and other countries actively involved with pretrial, probation, parole and community-based corrections, in both criminal and juvenile justice arenas. All levels of government including federal, state/provincial, local and tribal agencies are counted among its constituents. By taking the initiative, APPA has grown to become the voice for thousands of pretrial, probation and parole practitioners and providers of services including line staff, supervisors and administrators from both the public and private sectors. Educators, volunteers, victim service providers, concerned citizens and others with an interest in criminal and juvenile justice are also among APPA members.

The American Society of Criminology is an international organization whose members pursue scholarly, scientific, and professional knowledge concerning the measurement, etiology, consequences, prevention, control, and treatment of crime and delinquency.

The International Association for Correctional and Forensic Psychology (IACFP) is an organization of behavioral scientists and practitioners who are concerned with the delivery of high-quality mental health services to criminal offenders, and with promoting and disseminating research on the etiology, assessment and treatment of criminal behavior.

The Judicalis Group is an independent, non-political organisation. The purpose of the Judicalis Group is to provide a platform for young authors, academics, and professionals to contribute to the public discourse. In accordance with the Research Council United Kingdom (RCUK) open-access policy, the Judicalis Group archives and provides open access to publications written by its contributors whenever possible. We seek to provide regular content that is of interest to the general public and policymakers. The Judicalis Group presents professional opinion and research findings on issues that we consider to be important to the public domain. All contributors are expected to maintain high academic research standards.

The International Association of Law Enforcement Planners is a member governed organization for people working in, or interested in, planning, policy, budget, performance measurement, analysis, research, and other related functions for criminal justice agencies.

The IAWP was established in Los Angeles, California USA in 1915 by the first American policewomen as an international organization to provide professional development, mentoring, training, networking and recognition for female law enforcement officers and civilian support staff as well as to increase the numbers of women in policing. One-hundred years later, IAWP has members in more than 60 countries and continues the same traditions established by the founders.

The National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice (NABCJ) has made a goal of achieving equal justice for blacks and other minorities. Our members consist of criminal justice professionals such as those in law enforcement, institutional and community corrections, courts, social services, academia, religious and other community-based interests as well as criminal justice students and community leaders.

The National Criminal Justice Association represents state, local and tribal governments on crime control and crime prevention issues. Our members represent all facets of the criminal and juvenile justice community.

The National Organization of Hispanics in Criminal Justice (NOHCJ) was chartered by the core group of Hispanics in 2003 as a non-profit corporation dedicated to promoting high professional standards for criminal justice agencies and criminal justice personnel. The keystone of NOHCJ is to foster an interchange of information and training between professionals in law enforcement, the courts, corrections, and interested citizens.
